CHARLESTON TRIP ‘08
OH, I had so much fun! It was so wonderful to see my friends Julie and John! I miss my girlfriend alot, but I am so happy she has such a wonderful family in Charleston. Doris and Johnny were wonderful hosts and John’s sister Laurie is always a lot of laughs. We have learned that Laurie and I are a lot alike and we can’t sit by each other at the table. Here are a few pictures of my trip.
My first day Julie and I went shopping downtown at the Market, it is where vendors fill the streets with great stuff! As we were walking we found this beautiful fountain.
We went into the lobby of this hotel and I had to take a picture of it. With all of the marble and stairs, I loved it.
We also went into the Gucci Store and Saks Fifth Ave, it was fun to touch everything way out of our league! Sandals from $350 and dresses that start at $450, we had a good laugh and then got out!
Making dinner is always fun at the Flathmann House! I had to take a picture of everyone in the kitchen….all those bosses! And let me tell you they were all thinking they were in charge. I just sat at the table and took pictures and laughed!
Doris always has to be ready for a picture and pose!
Laurie…cheese!
Somethings NEVER change!
They are so cute…gak!!!! It makes me happy to see how much Julie is in love and how happy she is! He’s a poop!
I know it is kind of scary….you know how they say a man looks for someone like their Mother….do you think they kinda look alike????? I do!
Southern Food….I usually will eat anything, not too picky but when it comes to pears with miracle whip in the middle and cheese on top, I think I will pass! Julie was so proud!
While I was down there it was Doris’s Birthday, 29 and staying there. She is so sweet! We went out and got our nails done and went to lunch. Our lunch was right on the water, as we were eating you could see the porpous swimming around.
Johnny, Doris and of course Diesel has to get his face it the picture!
The card…I have to tell you about the card…Laurie bought her Mom a very sweet card…as Doris read it we all watched for the tears, only we were watching the wrong person!
“Look Laurie’s crying!” We laughed at her…..ha ha
Laurie is a lot of fun…we found out that we are a lot alike. During meal times we realized you can’t sit us together cause we are just like sisters! “She’s touching me…she’s touching me…she’s looking at me….MOM!!!
AWWWWWW……..sweet!
EASTER DINNER! I have never eaten in the dining room, life styles of the rich and famous! It was beautiful.
Like I said somethings NEVER change!
Proud Father, Johnny and John……
Laurie and her son Thomas.
That night the moon was full and it was shining on the water behind Doris and Johnny’s house. Laurie and I went out to take some pictures. These turned out so cool!
Julie and John only live about 10 minutes away from Folly Beach. One afternoon Julie and I decided we want to go for a walk on the beach. It was only about 66 that day and breezy. I did put my jeans on that day but people who live there were wearing sweatshirts and coats.
Lighthouse….we decided to take a walk and walk down to the lighthouse, we walked and walked finally got there, it was pretty.
As we headed back to the car we thought “wow that was a good walk, probably at least a mile or a mile and a half” as we got closer to the car we saw a sign that read “1/4 mile-> to the lighthouse. We laughed!
My last night there we ate real well and hung out in Doris & Johnny’s bedroom.
I had a great time this year in Charleston! Weather was warm and had to come home to snow. Thanks to Johnny, Doris, Laurie, John and Julie their hospitality was wonderful! I can’t wait till next year, but get ready because everyone is coming this time! Thank you Again, I love you guys very much!

Taylor, Hannah and Cameron went crazy one afternoon. The best gift I gave these girls was their digital cameras, so we can get shots like these.
Crazy Kids! ! ! !

Our winters are long and cold, our schools sometimes have to create fun activities for the kids to keep them away and involved. This past week Taylor’s school TC West Jr High…opps TC West Middle School (they just changed it, ask me why, I have no clue) had spirit week. One day they all dressed crazy…and one day they had to dress in school colors, green and gold. She had a blast that day.
Even Cameron has to get into the picture, he wanted to show that he got the new Bee movie.

Taylor has been riding snowmobiles with her Dad. She is getting a little more comfortable and enjoys it. She always comes home and can’t stop talking about how much fun she had. In this first picture Jess is on the right and Taylor on the left.

Over the weekend Jess and Taylor’s Dad had a kids day to ride snowmobiles down on Uncle Dave’s property. It is probably going to be the last one since the snow is getting thin…finally!!! Jess and her Dad came up to our house so Cam could sit on Jess’s snowmobile. He loved it!

Cameron likes to put on his Dad’s yellow sunglasses and look outside because it makes his eyes water. His yellow glasses makes things much brighter then they really are. Isn’t he cool?
What’s Up?

Once again I have crazy pictures of Jess. Is she a turtle with a shell? Or just a big kids trying to get into something that her butt won’t fit into? Ha Ha
